My Mom just obliquely told me to keep "it" in my pocket. That was it. However my school had sex ed classes and even though I snickered like the village idiot I retained a lot of knowledge, like to vary your stroke - kidding. I remember when Eric Holder made his when it comes to discussing race in America we are a "nation of cowards", I think they is more true of talking frankly about sex. Kudos to you and your family for having the first of hopefully many open discussions of how to give pleasure to ones partner and how to (or not to) make a baby.
